Children's Craft Ideas -- Needlework Kits
Craft Kits for Kids
Grade school age kids love doing crafts. These children's craft ideas -- needlework kits include beginning sewing kits, potholder loom kits, knitting and crochet kits, and more.
When you need a gift for those kids around the ages of 7 to 12 years old, give or take, consider a craft kit. Those tough to buy for children, be it your own child, nieces and nephews, or neighbors or friends of your children, might really enjoy a quiet craft instead the latest battery-operated whatever.
When you buy a craft kit, nearly everything the child will need is provided so there's no guessing about how much you need or what color to get or whether it's the right size. Kids can start crafting right away!
I made this crewel needlework wall hanging from a kit when I was a kid. I received it as a Christmas gift and really enjoyed working on it.

Children's Craft Ideas - Think About What You Enjoyed Doing!
Think of children's craft ideas from your childhood. Did you enjoy sewing with your mom? How about knitting or crocheting? Did you make simple scarves or granny squares on winter evenings?
If you're like me, you made more than a few of those potholders using a metal loom and hook. Re-create this fun with a child you know.
Sewing Kits for Kids
Many children between 7 and 12 years old are mature enough to be able to handle a beginner kids sewing kit.
Knitting and Crocheting - Kids Projects That Are Easy and Fun!
Start with a simple knitting kit or how to crochet kit for a child who has expressed an interest in this fun craft. Some simple projects like making a scarf for dish clothes are quick and easy.
Making jewelry, purses, and other fun wearables will be a reason to keep learning! Then when kids master the techniques, they can move on to progressively more difficult needlework projects
Make Potholders on a Loom and Embroidery Projects
I still like making potholders on an old metal loom. If your loom is long gone, get a new one in a craft kit complete with loops to make not just potholders, but purses and pencil holders, too.
An easy to make embroidery project like counted cross stitch or simple embroidery stitches on a bookmark is a great way to introduce kids to needle and embroidery thread crafts.
